Fashion Flip Book by Agata Serge is a creative fashion photography project that invites viewers to rediscover the image as a playful and interactive object.

In a world where fashion images appear and disappear in the endless flow of digital media, some projects invite us to slow down. They ask us to look again, to touch, to play, to question the very structure of the image itself. Fashion Flip Book by Agata Serge is one of those rare projects — where fashion, photography, and human curiosity meet in an unexpected way.

Who Is Agata Serge?
Agata Serge is a Polish fashion photographer working internationally. Her creative world is connected to cities such as New York, Paris, London, and Los Angeles — places where fashion constantly redefines itself.
Her photographs have been published in numerous fashion magazines, and her distinctive visual language combines the classic aesthetics of fashion photography with a deep sensitivity to the body, individuality, and presence of the model in front of the camera.
At the center of her work there is always the human being — not as a vehicle for trends, but as a unique story, energy, and personality.

An Idea That Matured Over Time
The idea for Fashion Flip Book first began to take shape in Agata Serge’s mind around five years ago. At the beginning it was simply a loose concept — a creative impulse that kept returning to her thoughts.
The realization of the project itself took nearly two years.
Interestingly, Serge did not initially plan the project on such a large scale. However, over time more and more people began to engage with the idea, becoming inspired by its energy and uniqueness. Eventually nearly 150 people contributed to the project — from stylists and producers to creative teams.
It was at this moment that a private vision began transforming into something much larger.

Photography That Refuses to Stay Static
Fashion Flip Book is not a traditional photography album.
It is an interactive object in which each photograph has been divided into three sections: head, torso, and legs. This allows the viewer to flip the pages freely and create entirely new combinations of figures and silhouettes.
This simple yet brilliant gesture transforms the way we perceive the image. Identity is no longer fixed, and the body is no longer a closed form — it becomes fluid and open to interpretation.
For this mechanism to work, every photograph had to be carefully planned and precisely composed.

Fifteen Icons of International Modeling
The project features fifteen figures from the world of international modeling — both legendary supermodels and representatives of a new generation.
Among them are Helena Christensen, Karolina Kurkova, Anja Rubik, Sasha Pivovarova, Saskia de Brauw, Amanda Murphy, Alex Consani, and Milla Jovovich.
The casting for the project was overseen by renowned casting director Piergiorgio Del Moro.
The photo sessions took place in New York, Paris, London, and Los Angeles.

Photography Created Slowly
Serge works with analog film, developing the photographs through a traditional process. This slower approach gives the images a distinctive texture and depth. The book contains nearly 300 photographs, forming a complex visual structure.
The cover is a vibrant yellow, chosen simply because it is the artist’s favorite color — a small but personal gesture that gives the publication its distinctive identity.
The Moment of Release
The first public presentation of Fashion Flip Book took place on December 6 at Fabryka Sztuki in Łódź.
For Agata Serge, it was an intensely emotional moment. For years the project had existed only in her private creative space. Suddenly, hundreds of images that had once belonged only to her were released into the world.
After years of working on the project, there was also a sense of longing for the process itself — because often the journey toward a goal brings the deepest meaning.
Why This Project Stays With Us
Fashion Flip Book is not only about fashion – it is a story about creation, passion, and the extraordinary power of human imagination.
Sometimes all it takes is one person with a vision to set an energy in motion — an energy that moves many others. And when that happens, a small idea can grow into something truly extraordinary.
In a time when images circulate endlessly online, Fashion Flip Book reminds us that photography can still be playful, tactile, and full of discovery.
